Was the polls closed or open when this was done?
After the close, it might be routine that after the machine does a tally, makes a printout of the result, the machine is opened and then for a sanity check, the number of ballots (not votes) is counted by hand. The hand ballot tally has to match exactly the machine ballot tally, or a process of double checking occurs.
Polls are open. Long lines. These people are still doing this. I’m to far for pics now. Yet. I’d like to vote tonight. Not spend my evening in a be graybar for speaking out.
