1. There needs to be SOME mechanism that to SOME degree holds the media personnel--particularly say the top 10-20% watched/read/listened to--to a high standard of truth or at least vetted sources.

"Congress shall make no law..." Don't mess with it or it will come back to bite you in the a$$.

Hmmm - I have seen a lot of articles in this vein. So media can refuse to print ads that disfavor their preferred candidate, with impunity? What out lying, knowingly? What about totally inventing sources and making up quotes, knowingly? All a-okay? What about getting classified leaks from lawbreakers in fedgov and printing them? What about getting leaks that are known to be fake and printing them? And on and on...

There's plenty of reasonableness to that caution. There must be some clever wise ways around that issue, though. Letting rampant Commie propaganda treason go unfettered seems unwise, too.
