Among the pictures on my living room walls is a LARGE photo of Secretariat. Cried at the grave of Man o’War.
Ours :-). He’s 27. He trained some as a yout’ but got a little tendon tweak and ended up doing hunter/jumper and dressage before the wife got him (after my sister put her on hers at their Kentucky farm). He hates dressage. Gary Stevens rode him some when he was young.

Sis worked at Rood and Riddle in Lexington as an equine veterinary tech. Seattle Slew was one of their patients around the time (she did x-ray work on him). Her neck of the woods is just rotten with fabulous horses. She went back to school and switched to humans (pediatric intensive care) and now is a program principle at one of the big HMO’s there getting moms/newborns off opioids.
