I’m sorry you were at the hospital not feeling well. I hope your health is much better today.

Thanks, LJ. Being home means so much to me, that alone makes me feel better! I am upset that I had to miss the rally in MO and almost 24 hours of the Q thread.

My Onc Doc and I have a deal. I can visit the hospital, I can drive by there, hell, I can even go there for tests....but we made a deal the day he introduced himself the day after I checked in through the emergency room. I AM NOT A GOOD HOSPITAL PATIENT! They make me wear color coded socks that say "flight risk".

So, yesterday, after a night in "the joint" and my many threats to call my county cops (not the same county as the hospital, but my home-county boys) some genius at the hosp. decided to call my Onc Doc and tell him what was going on. The version I got from the head nurse what that my doc said "Oh, you gotta kick her loose! She never fails to do her followup visits and chores, she's a good patient, but she hates being in the hospital. " One hour later, I was gone.

And what was my main point of upsettedness? IT WAS ELECTION DAY...I was not going to miss going to the polls and voting.

So it darn near killed me, but I got cut loose, got to vote and GOT HOME!!

ANd the thing I missed most was being here, with Q and my peoples!

Oh Blu, I'm glad you escaped and made it back to us. I'm sure TEXOKIE can write up a great tale for us about your nasty hospital visit and return to your spot in the FreeQ garage.

I share your disdain for the hospital. I've walked out twice without release because they just ticked me off. Once from emergency and once from a room. I swear I inherited this trait from my dad who also walked out of emergency after a heart attack. Obviously it was mild but after 6 hours on an emergency table he got tired of all the waiting. He yanked out the IV, pulled off the monitors, walked out and called a cab. They caught him at the taxi door, he told gave 'em what for and left. He did follow up and does care for his health. Just no patience with being a patient. And his only daughter fully agrees.

My 2nd hospital peeve is all the danged people who want to visit. If you want to visit me, come to the house when I'm healthy! If I'm in a danged hospital bed I don't feel like vis'tin'.

The ULTIMATE broken glass voter.

I am SO very sorry you had to be there as long as you did, and so pleased that you found ONE sensible doctor who knew how to treat an adult who makes their own decisions. May your health stay as strong as your spirit.
