If you have Spectrum cable in your area, look at their "Spectrum TV Choice" service. They deliver a subset of cable channels to you over the Internet. We buy our Internet service from them with the TV Choice product. You get a basic cable line-up and you get to choose 10 additional a la carte channels. The Internet and TV Choice run us about $70 per month which is a good deal.
I've had Spectrum TV Choice too for the past year and a half and have been happy with it until I just tried to swap one channel for another and was told no, you can only change channels within 30 days of signing up.
That's no 'Choice' for me so I just dropped spectrum TV choice and went with fubo tv, a bit more $$ a month but it has the channels I want year around.
It seems every few months many more internet tv choices become available and at a fair price.
Cable tv will become extinct soon.
Thanks. We looked into it very closely when we signed up so I was aware that you only had 30 days to change your channel selection. That too really irked me (I use “irked” politely and it’s nowhere near the anger I had at that stupid restriction). So my wife and I carefully examined the selection, made the initial choice, and fine-tuned it a couple times in our 30 days. I rarely watch regular TV and she’s a sports nut, so 8 of the 10 we chose are sports channels. She’s been happy with her choice and I actually don’t think I’ve watched the two I selected at all. One is Turner Classic Movies, but I hate having to be at the TV to watch something when it is being broadcast and not being able to record it. So I still subscribe to Netflix DVD service to get old films.
