Update on our floods from last month. Of course the big bridge is still out but talk is they’re going to start talks on it in Dec. We need action, not talk. The other way in to town (the pic that’s been on the thread) is still closed. There’s only two other ways into town.
The boil water warning has been cancelled here and in Austin. The flood gates on the north side of Austin are to start closing Wednesday and the ones in the city after that.
The river is still muddy. There’s still a constant running of repair barges and boat repair tows up and down but the lakes remain closed to recreation.
Lots of looting because houses are open to air out and stuff is piled in yards that may be trash or treasures being saved. Told y’all about the freak who jumped the fence into our yard and refused to leave.
It’s just weird looking at the flood damage along side the burned acreage from the August wildfire.
