And People Are Outraged

"And that's a good thing!"

Who keeps writing these stupid headlines?

If it’s a sammich, that’s one more thing she can make for me.

The old debate: mustard or ketchup.

A hot dog is fast food. So there.

Um, this isn’t really a serious question. “It’s a crummy commercial.” Mr. Mayer cast out a yummy treat and folks took the bait, hook, line and sinker. Good marketing people.

Anything placed between two slices of bread so that it can be eaten as a finger food is a sandwich. Dispensing with knife, fork and plate is the whole point. Everybody knows this. Just as everybody knows that ketchup and salsa are vegetables.

Oh my goodness!

“Burgers” ands “Hot Dogs”. Each occupy it’s own special place in our preferred food choices..

A sammich is a whole nother thang.

Lets keep it that way and celebrate and enjoy the difference.

Don’t erode our language by grouping the identity of individual things into one broad category.

I think it’s nice and enjoyable to have something real and important to be concerned about after all the never ending, political bull scat we have had to endure from the left.

LOL...a hot dog is a bunch of ground up meat inside a casing. A hot dog ON A BUN is a sandwich.

Oscar Meyer hot dogs are not even used in my house as a hot dog or a sandwich. They are cut up into slices and put into a can of Bush’s baked beans, warmed and served. The kids love them.

Hotdogs where I grew up and live usually come with mustard, Cole slaw or BBQ slaw, chili, and onions, or some variation of those toppings. Ketchup is optional but not unusual. My husband grew up in the same general area but subs mayo for the mustard.

Probably my favorite way is with spicy mustard, Sauer kraut, chili, and onions but chili and cheese is good too.

Hot dogs without ketchup are like apple pie without ice cream. Sure, you CAN eat them that way, but why would you want to?

And mustard is also a requirement. Relish, onions, cheese ... all are optional.

I thought the Earl of Sandwich used bread to hold meat so as to not soil the playing cards.

Perhaps I’ll google it.

Probably not.
