I get a chili dog and I eat it with ketchup. No chili then the Wiener dog gets mustard.

No Chicago style. Poppy seed Bun, Vienna beef dog, onion, sweet relish tomato slices, sport peppers and a dill pickle spear that’s gods food. I’m outraged. Oh and mustard. No ketchup allowed

Chicago hot dog.
I make ketchup and mayo wiener sandwiches - yum.
Sandwich is a type of bread. Hot dogs are made with hot dog buns so aren’t sandwiches. And they’re made with mustard. Doesn’t matter if one doesn’t like mustard, that’s just the way it is.
Tacos and burritos aren’t sandwiches. Hoagies aren’t sandwiches. Stuffed pita bread isn’t a sandwich. An egg McMuffin isn’t a sandwich. A bagel with lox isn’t a sandwich. A burger is a burger, not a sandwich. Veggie wraps aren’t sandwiches.
