Well it is the second oldest town in America after St. Augustine, FL and it was founded by the Spanish. Mind you that was over 400 years ago.

Religiously, it is about as Protestant as any other part of the south outside of Louisiana.

AND There was a Pueblo village there founded around 900 A.D. in the area that is now downtown Santa Fe. Native American tribes expelled the Spanish from the region from 1680 to 1692 . . .
