Its a weird phenomenon. Plenty of GOP leaders are happy to tell the world how they voted against their own party. You may hear of individual Democrats willing to do that, but NEVER an elected official of any capacity.

Why is that?

There is one case where a dem politician voted Republican...that was Zell Miller, governor of Georgia at the time. In fact, he even spoke at the Republican convention for George W. Bush.
