After Arts, I always thought Whitley Strieber (sic?) had a great voice for the show.
But what Id rather listen to would be an overnight show that talked about obscure historical personages, events, culture, art.. whatever. But no ghosts and goblins, paranormal, or the like. Three hours on Benjamin Franklin or Nicholai Tesla or whomever or whatever with historians and biographers would be more entertaining to me because facts are often stranger than fiction.
...and even ghosts and goblins or whatever.
Ground Zero is okay occasionally. Still not what Im after.
I did catch Whitley on occasion. He’s alright.
You would like John Batchelor.
His voice is a little annoying, and very feminine, but after a while, one can learn to ignore that and listen to his interviews. He’s a good interviewer and takes his radio time.
J. Batchelor interviews the type of people that
Charlie Rose used to speak to.
