My parents appeared normal.
I grew up in bible belt suburbia.
All that is needed for these things to proliferate is for adults to honestly believe that this is rare.
They are not and were not.

Oh she got her kid a new day care! The kid said to the mom “will there be fights at this day care?” on the way to the new one.
Yet mom is so stupid she does not turn around, go home and keep her kid with her! I’m sorry but no job is worth that!
Moms find a job that you may work at home! This is bs! Be with your children till they go to Kindergarten.

I know all this! Okay? but once you become a Mommy all that changes. You have to choose between that job and your child! What is more important. These women don’t get it. Dawg I hate to say it but once again my Grandmother was correct. She said it was a terrible thing for kids to grow up in day cares. She was correct! Yes I admit it! That woman really knew how to raise kids.

This preschool nerf-glove thing is still wrong. For one thing, it was without the parents' knowledge or permission. For another, even some of the onlooking kids were apparently very upset. And a third objection, I didn't see any reasonable instruction or restriction, and kids were having their heads whacked on the floor.
But here's probably the biggest objection: these kids are way too young. Before the age of 5, and maybe even until 7 --- that's years, not weeks or months --- they are at risk for the kind of trauma known as "shaken baby syndrome" because their craniums can be injured, not only by blunt-force trauma but even by shaking.
It occurs most frequently in those less than five, and when the shaken-baby criteria are met, the death risk can be as high as 25%.
Some people apparently don't realize how vulnerable the young child's musculo-skeletal structures are to injury, and the soft tissues protected by those structures (for example, the eyes and brain).
Here's what it looks like from a pediatrics point of view:
If there's ANYTHING like this, I'd turn the lawyers loose on the daycare for strict liability, and even criminal abuse charges.
The thing too is that this is just some idiot throwing them together and saying “Go!” It’s obvious she has all the training of a Arnold Horshack.
