Monday on The View, co-host Joy Behar snapped at her fellow co-host Meghan McCain after she was called out for changing the topic twice to make a liberal point. The second time, Behar lost it, spouting, “I jump to wherever I damn please!” as the audience loudly applauded her for standing up to her right-leaning co-host.
After Sunny Hostin laid part of the responsibility on Trump for “setting the tone” that allegedly made this violence possible, Behar and Hostin then blamed guns, citing many of the recent shootings carried out by people with AR-15s. Behar added,“[Y]ou need laws. You need a lot of laws. The fact that some of these crazies all have guns... It's about laws. Change the laws, you change the behavior.”
But McCain pushed back on her liberal co-hosts arguments, saying she wasn’t expecting to have a conversation on guns today:
“Also Devin Kelley of the Texas church stopped a shooting from happening [McCain inaccurately identified the shooter instead of the man who stopped the shooting, Johnnie Langendorff]. Again I didn't think we were going to have a conversation about AR-15s but I'm happy to. I wanted to have a conversation about tolerance,” she ranted.
McCain said she wanted everyone to be held accountable for their rhetoric, calling out Democrats Keith Ellison and Women’s March co-chair Tamika Mallory for supporting Louis Farrakhan. She then argued they were trying demonize gun owners:
“[I] am a legal gun owner and gun laws don't have any impact on people who legally go and buy and use guns in a safe way. As a gun owner and NRA member we're demonized to such a degree after -- fine, you're [Behar] not even looking at me,” she snapped.
Behar then bizarrely tried to insinuate the NRA only supported gun control when it went against liberal terrorist organizations:
“Because I'm thinking of the '60s and '70s and how the Black Panthers and the Weathermen had a lot of guns and suddenly the NRA put in gun control. It's interesting, isn't it?” she stated.
McCain then tried to call out Behar on her knowledge about guns. “Do you want to define to me what an assault rifle is. Just define it, anyone at the table,” she gushed.
“It looks like a machine gun that can kill,” Behar began before McCain pointed out, “Machine guns have been banned!”
After that, Whoopi cut in to read off a cue card her list of all the things Trump has said to supposedly “inspire” this shooting. McCain and Behar continued their fight after the commercial break.
Changing the topic to discuss social media’s responsibility in paying attention to the shooter and mail bombers’ threats, Behar swiftly blamed the news media for covering Trump rallies:
“The media should stop covering those rallies of his. That's my one recommendation. It just empowers him more,” Behar argued.
A frustrated McCain shot back, “That seems like a logical response to that question. Come on, we're talking about social media's impact and we jumped to Trump's rallies!”
Behar snapped, “I jump to wherever I damn please, okay? [ Loud applause ] That's twice!”
“It's off topic,” McCain lectured. But Behar didn’t appreciate being called out.
“That's twice. I'm not allowed to change the subject if I want to?” she shot back as the other co-hosts came in to alleviate the situation.
Maude Behar snapped long ago.

We need AR-15s and other firearms to protect ourselves from fascist aholes like Behar.
Note that in the United Kingdom, firearms laws were quite casual for many years (police permits for the legal purchases of shotguns were not required until 1967). Homicide and other violent crime began to increase not long after 1967 and particularly more so following very strict laws being introduced in 1987 and 1996.

Behar is yet another example proving that you can be successful, famous, and rich, regardless of how incredibly stupid you are. Maybe that says more about the general population than it does her...
Trump isn’t as stupid as Maude is. If the media stopped covering his rallies, Trump would make sure to make major policy announcements AND take questions from the assembled press. Without the enemedia in attendance, the other nets would be reduced to airing FoxNews watermarked snippets.
Meghan McCain knows about guns. Meghan is pro Second Amendment.
Ms. McCain’s problem is her father.
She’s a target to be rid of on the view.
Too bad she burned her bridges on the FNC.
Not a big fan of Trump-hating Megan McCaine, but every now and then she does attempt to counter the outrageous liberal bias that The View pushes.
Won’t be long before McCaine makes a gracious exit. The token conservative host rarely lasts long on that shallow, insipid show. Just look at lovely Candice Cameron Bure and a host (pun intended) of other right-leaning ladies who left the show after being abused, mocked and out-numbered by the ugly old timers like Behar and Goldberg.
Bejar is just being a typical hypocritical lefty, with one set of rules for the one who dares has a different, more right leaning point of view than herself, and another much more accommodating set of rules for herself and her cronies. McCain has to stick to the predetermined topics, but she is free to talk about whatever she wants. They have to stack the decks in their favor because they can’t win any debate fairly, and they know it.
Whaddya know? A McCain finally turns out to be useful for something.
