Everyone worked and at crop time even my grandmother (after 14 children) picked cotton and All children. I get a bit haughty about our country and the facts.
My daddy’s family has been here since 1614 my mama’s over 200 hundred years both with American Indians blood, probably African Americans but haven’t proved that yet. But its there I ran into a family at the hospital with my daddy’s last name and they knew the gggrandfathers name. Slaves??? They took the families names, they also invited me to the family reunion. I wanted to go so bad but my mama was ill... LOL
