Was it a mistake. Or was it just a falsehood stated with the belief that no one would know the difference? I haven’t heard a claim one way or the other from the person who said it.
Actually the headline is false....He used the reasoning: And then I said to myself,...We can’t make these sick, demented, evil people important,” Trump said” to hold his rally.
The misstated fact was simply incorrect example to support that reasoning.
