I lived that day. Front and center. No one here- NO ONE - forgets that the market was closed for a week

I lived through it too, though not in NYC. I'll bet if you walked down 5th avenue and asked 100 people how long the NYSE exchange was closed after 9/11 most people wouldn't have a clue. <>p> Were YOU aware of the story of Cantor Fitzgerald and the bond market?

Yes. I have friends that died that day. I drove wives to train stations to retrieve their husbands cars. I had colleagues at Cantor.

But none of that matters. You’re missing the point. It’s not that he didn’t know or should have remembered. That’s fine. Odd, very odd. But fine.

Point is, if the couldn’t remember than he should either shut up about it, or find out the actual dates.

I lost 2 extremely close members of my family that day.
That being said i have no idea nor really care about whether the stock market was opened or if the yankees played.
President Trump was very active in fundraising and donations though and we do remember that!
