Don’t be foolish.
And keep up;

Without seeing a verbatim quote, I don’t know if Trump said. But I’m not inclined to trust Yahoo. Clearly people were working the next day even though trading wasn’t occurring.
Trump promised that Medicare WOULD negotiate directly with drugmakers. Not what we got.
So who is a friendly source your would accept?
Even the WSJ said the market was closed those days and celebrated the 15th anniversary of the extraordinary efforts to get it reopened on the 17th. https://www.wsj.com/articles/9-17-01-wall-streets-proudest-day-a-look-back-on-the-reopening-1473127440
“The point would have been much better if he didnt sound like an ill informed idiot.”
Wow. You think President Trump sounds like an uninformed idiot?
It’s NOT the promised negotiate directly with the drug companies. Contains less teeth and makes the drug less upset than they would have been with directly negotiating with Medicare.
Think he can make it through the day without a whopper?
“By allowing Medicare Advantage plans to negotiate for physician-administered drugs like private-sector insurers already do”
“These negotiating tools will offer plans the same power that private-sector insurers have to drive down the price of prescription drugs and force manufacturers to compete on price”
Our blueprint brings the latest negotiation tools to our government programs and expands private-sector negotiation to parts of Medicare that have never had negotiation.
“This policy change to Medicare Advantage will bring new negotiating power to Medicare faster than other policies may have, but it is just part of a broader vision to ensure that the latest, successful negotiation tools are applied throughout the Medicare program to bring down prices for seniors.”
Those are the advantage plans, not Medicare itself as promised. Medicare is the 800 lb gorilla.
“Specifically, patients will now be able to choose Medicare Advantage plans that require enrollees to try certain more cost-effective drugs first (known as step therapy). Plans will also be able to cross-manage between the drugs covered by different parts of Medicare, allowing them to pay for the most appropriate, most affordable drugs, regardless of whether patients receive them in a doctors office (Part B) or at a pharmacy (Part D).”
In my state, advantage plans have been in place for a few years that may offer better rates or better coverage than Medicare Part D. Trump promised the negotiation would be done through Medicare, not the advantage plans. Medicare would directly negotiate with the drug makers. Not Kaiser. Not Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Not United Health Care. Medicare.
Why are you so bitter and hateful about Trump? Which other candidate would have been better?
“Most Medicare Advantage Plans include Medicare prescription drug coverage
(Part D).”

Trump’s got six more years. Why can’t you give him time? He’s not a divine miracle worker.
Wow. Some people remember things in a blur. Some people remember things in detail. It might be that some tend to move on and others watch and rewatch videos or read and reread accounts of events. I remember a few things about 9/11 vividly. But mostly it is a blur. Did Citizen Trump wake up on 9/12/01 and go to work cleaning up the aftermath of 9/11? Did he resolutely say to himself that Americans do not give in to terror? Did he cower in his tower and do nothing? I’m sure he was working hard that next day, and that is why his memory is that the US/New York did not shut down on 9/12.
When pointed out he may have a hostile congress during the campaign, he said he was the great negotiator and could make things happen. He didn't. Other than his judicial nominations and the tax cut/increase the debt bill, his signature promises have largely been through EO, not through congressional negotiation.
We only know he’s got 2 more years. The other 4 are subject to re-election. Besides, he’s claimed to be a miracle worker. Art of the Deal.
