I agree. Im not sure analytics can tell you who’s hot in that particular moment, or when to go with them.

That’s exactly the problem. Analytics in baseball are like the form chart in racing. It can give you information about tendencies and past performance, but not about today.
That’s why I always walk down to the paddock after I read the form. Similarly, you can’t manage today’s game by the numbers alone. They’ll give you useful information, but they’re not the be all and end all.
