It's amazing to me that pitchers throw in the 90’s consistently, sometimes over 100, and yet the scores of so many of these games are like football scores. What gives? Are hitters that much better than before? Are pitchers throwing too much heat and not enough junk and off speed stuff? Can someone explain to me?

Don’t need to explain it to you. You answered your own questions just by asking. The answers are yes and yes.

I don't have a lot of time , so:

___________

The hitters are much bigger, stronger.......... and the balls are juiced. And, most all of them are swinging for the fences.

That's about it.

However, I think if you look it up the runs scored are not tooo much higher than twenty to thirty years ago.

Be well...........

PS .... have a little fun.

* Trying to sneak a pitch past Hank Aaron is like trying to sneak the sunrise past a rooster. — Joe Adcock I never took the game home with me. I always left it in some bar. — Bob Lemon

* Well, it took me 17 years to get 3,000 hits in baseball, and I did it in one afternoon on the golf course. — Hank Aaron
