Because he is threatening “retaliation” against all Republicans (and by implication, conservatives) for the actions of this one deranged individual (no matter that the murderer’s actions are the exact opposite of what the Republican/conservative positions are). He has twisted the statements and actions of our side to seem (in his mind) to support the violence, and to justify such violence against us. And make no mistake, what he is thinking, others are thinking (if this can be said to be thinking), and planning, and may yet act upon.
A trip to a friend’s farm for some range time seems to be the thing to do leading up to the midterms.
