Trump tells migrant caravan to turn around, as troops being sent to border

President Trump tweeted a stern warning Thursday to the migrant caravan heading toward the United States– telling the thousands of people currently making their way through Mexico to turn around as U.S. troops are set to move to the southern border.

“To those in the Caravan, turnaround, we are not letting people into the United States illegally,” the president tweeted. “Go back to your Country and if you want, apply for citizenship like millions of others are doing!”

These people have hardly even left Guatemala, if you look at a map. It may have sounded good, “Let’s walk to America!” When they started out but they have had people die, people taken by ambulance to hospital for dehydration and exhaustion. The “Women and children” part of this is unraveling quickly and they aren’t even near MExico City. Distance, time, and attrition will end the “women and children” quickly and they will be left with nothing but 18-35 year old males soon. Of course, as they near the border there will, of course, be a bunch of NEW women and children ready to join in.

Perhaps it’s time to pull a page from WWII and drop leaflets on these people. At least it would bypass the media prism.

I got into a big argument yesterday with this lefty at my work who just could not understand the difference between illegal aliens (which she took great offense at me calling) and legal immigrants. I explained the whole reason for the immigration system is to protect people as people sneaking in could be anything, from serial killers, rapists, terrorists....Right over her head woop! And then she went into the white supremacy/racist rant...I really firmly believe liberalism is a mental disorder, I’ve seen it up close firsthand. These people are devoid of logic when it comes to politics, they just can’t process the concept of protecting the country, they should be not even 20 billion light years close to holding political office

My question with regard to this matter is, what is the President prepared to do to prevent the caravan from crossing our border? What are the Rules of Engagement? Are they prepared to use lethal force? If not, then there is nothing to stop the invasion and the troops on the border are nothing more than a dog and pony show.

I suggested yesterday starting with leaflets and making daily upgrades to the discomfort.

Make nice cool and comfy air conditioned buses available tomorrow for the ride home. In a couple days, give them hot, bumpy old school buses. In a couple more days, a new pair of sneakers and a water bottle. Make the decision wise for them.

Get a team to infiltrate and do stuff. Puncture tires, destroy equipment, Do something to make the water taste horrible but not poisonous, multiple F-16 low level supersonic overflights. Make them miserable.

Other reports say the 800 soldiers are engineers, doctors and lawyers. What sort of message does that send? Mr President if you want to get their attention, send the Infantry if only to back up the National Guard. Their presence will show the world you are serious about keeping these people out.

Not invade. But I think we do need to ignore Mexican sovereignty to take steps to keep them on the other side of that line. Whether that’s taking out some bridges or setting up armed encampments inside Mexico.
