I think you can rule out "mentally ill conservative" because nuts usually operate alone. This looks like a pretty complicated political op (i.e. the production and assembly of 10--so far--identical hoax bombs all sent out at almost the same time).

This op would have probably required a team (however small) to pull off.

I would lean toward small cadre of Democratic Party operatives based on the evidence so far.

As a final point, the fact that Zucker immediately blamed Trump raises a bunch of red flags. If, for example, this "bomb" matter turned out to be just a Halloween prank gone awry, Zucker would have looked pretty silly to his bosses at ATT.

It almost makes one feel that Zucker knew more about the source and magnitude of this "bomb" operation than he let on.

As an aside, I remember what Rush said about the media and the Democratic Party. IIRC he said something to the effect that the media IS the Democratic Party...and elected Democrats are just following orders.

If this had been "... small cadre of Republican Party operatives..." you can be sure that at least ONE brain cell would have said "Umm...folks...how on earth is it going to help our cause?"

With the Democrats, that brain cell of sanity would have been missing.
