The one thing I notice are the officers guarding the head coaches appear to be the biggest baddest looking cops available.

Money quotes:

LSU officials are expecting about 150,000 people on campus for the Alabama game,

I wish I could see this game live but I need a bigger bankroll

The cheapest ticket on the secondary market is around $250, and some lower bowl seats are available for between $800 and $1,300.

Damn this food sounds good. I could smell the cajun flavors from the photo.

Lunch is on the house. Today’s menu items include chicken gumbo, fried pork loin and deep-fried turkey, set up buffet-style within multiple tents positioned under an oak tree.

HOLD THAT TIGER!

In the craziest incident he’s ever seen, Dempre was working as a plainclothes officer in LSU’s student section when he sprung into action during a crowd-surfing incident involving Mike the Tiger. “Not the real tiger,” Dempre explains, “but the cheerleader in the mascot suit.” Students passed the mascot from the field level to the top of the student section, where deputies intervened with Mike just a couple of rows from toppling 200 feet out of the stadium. “They were going to throw him off!” Dempre says. “We had to grab him.”

Saban not only brings his team but an army.

The Crimson Tide bring a larger entourage than any other team, with their own ambulance and Alabama police vehicles filled with law enforcement officers.

Of course the office assigned to Coach O is a giant of a man.

Bryan Madden stands 6'4" and weighs north of 300 pounds, a mountain of a man who is the biggest celebrity among the game-day law enforcement officers. He’s on security detail for LSU head coach Ed Orgeron.

In a few days, this process will repeat itself when the Tigers tangle with the No. 1 team in the country, and, no, they don’t expect it to be quiet and, no, they don’t expect to get off early. “Alabama is going to be insane,” Huber says with a smile. “It always is.”

There is nothing more delicious, and none more hospitable to share it, than the food and fans at an LSU tailgate!

Cauldrons of crawfish, etouffee, jambalaya, ...

and Fireball Whiskey. Lots of Fireball. Cher!

Geaux Tigers! Beat 'Bama! Have been a big Coach O fan since reading The Blind Side. The game is November 3rd.... Baton Rouge will be the biggest city in the state that day, population wise.

I have it on good authority they were not going to toss Mike over the top. Now if it had been an elephant or Nick Satan ...

LSU also shows up in Omaha “Eaumahaux” at the College World Series—whether or not they are in the final 8 teams playing baseball. Even more so if LSU is in the series. Terrific fans and people!!

I live in Baton Rouge.

Grew up 2 miles from Campus / Tiger Stadium. If y’all ever have the chance to come see a big game, (they’re not all the same) you have to put it on your bucket list. There will be more than 150K around the campus when we play Bama. It’s going to be awesome.

Geaux Tigers...Forever LSU
