Is KPaul’s still open? I wasn’t sure because I think Paul Prudomme died. If it’s still open, go there, it’s really good Cajun food. “KPaul” helped start the Armerican craze for Cajun food in the late 80’s.
Of course, you must go to Pat O’Brien’s for a deadly 26 ounce “Hurricane” drink and keep the large souvenir glass. I drank two of them at Pat O’Brien’s(when I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid). I ended up with a hangover than nearly killed me. LOL
The Court of Two Sisters (formerly a prominent wh*re house) has an excellent, elaborate brunch buffet. The food and atmosphere are a great New Orleans experience.
Ive never eaten at Tujages even though Ive been to New Orleans 2-5 times annually since 1963 but its very old school
It was my big city growing up in Jackson Miss
It and Big D

Gumbo
Gumbo Shop is touristy but good
Dooky Chase....

And Napoleon House I love at night for the atmosphere....its old old old and dark... Brennan joint again...by Royal Orleans across from Cafe Maspero...not as cool
Royal Orleans balcony rooms and Audubon cottages if you are on no budget are as good as it gets cool rooms wise but $$$$
New Orleans has so much good food even touristy places in the CBD and Quarter and Marigny and out Magazine can be precious finds
I am a Felixs man....Acme is good but my mama loved Felixs
Their entire menu is quite good...the only thing Acme does better is air conditioning in the grill room and a Roast Beef debris Po boy
They are across the street from one another
My mom would drag me there when dad was meeting with. LL&OE and afterwards wed go to DH Holmes for the Napoleons in the downstairs bakery....best ever
Have fun....Im hungry now....gonna go eat that leftover French dip I saved from dinner.....
