Don’t most people request an RSVP, just to gauge the response?

(Forget the Catechism, the RCC's real doctrine is what they allow with impunity.)

RSVP. It is to laugh.
Every single Scout event, we ask for an RSVP.
Every single event, nobody, parents or kids, does it.
Then they look at you like you are stupid when you tell them, “There’s no food for you because we bought it in advance and didn’t know you were coming because you didn’t RSVP.”
Same people still won’t do it.

Dont most people request an RSVP, just to gauge the response? From what we've seen, a lot of young people don't respond. They're either rude or they don't know what it means.
