Not necessarily so. That doesn’t mean that having a pre-nup is a guarantee of success, of course, but I’ve seen plenty of relationships go on to be successful (at least from my POV) marriages.
Note that a lot of those I’ve done are 2nd marriages for both - so they both have something to protect, and both understand the need for the document.
