Cut off the man/organization funding the food & water for this caravan, let alone the propaganda that started it and then the ordinary folks will return home.
Make an offer to the Honduran government to assist with private security contractors to help them deal with their “criminal element” problem. Then the US should coordinate with NGOs on programs to help improve living conditions and jobs in Honduran villages.
Why do so many ‘rich’ Norte Americanos retire to Costa Rica, etc? Obviously, it can be nice to live in Central America instead of Detroit, Minneapolis or Baltimore.

This is Fifth Generation warfare. The people are the weapons. They are armed to the teeth with malicious intent, and that is enough to morally justify destruction of the threat.
Tear gas? Really? How would those optics look for Trump? Sure I’d love to see it happen but I feel that for me, I’ve been lied to too many times by those who promised to ‘’secure the border’’. I hope I’m wrong.
As it is, this should serve to motivate even more repubs to the polls in a couple weeks...maybe it will motivate a few more to start donating to grease the wheels that drive us back to FReedom.
And if they reach the border and catch and release is implemented, then the president looks weak. I hope that hurricane moves in to thwart them.

So, we should attack civilians with military force in a country we are not at war with. Just making sure this is what you are thinking about.
Nonsense. The U.S. military does not need to commit violence against the caravan. They can stop it without all your suggesttions.
The military knows how to erect barriers quickly, and given the command and the responsibility they have the means to do so.
I have suggested thet Trump should stop the caravan ON Mexican soil, before they reach the border. He can tell Mexico we will leave when they send their own milittary to take over our job, and leave them on their side of the border to continue to do THEIR job.
When an organized group of foreigners invade sovereign US territory (NOT proposing we do this in Mexico or anywhere else) they should be repelled by whatever means necessary. In the final analysis, the question of whether they are armed or not is academic and should be left to historians to argue about.
