Thanks for the update.
You still have plenty of food, doing OK?
There you go worrying again. ;) We’re fine. Piddly nothing compared to hurricane Michael and those here who lost everything.
We can get to town now so the plan was to early vote yesterday and catch up on errands but hubby was too tired and slept all day from being up nights on flood watch and going down to the low water crossing to make sure people were safe.
Yesterday, I organized the full pantry and today the vehicles need unpacked to get back to normal. Need to call the tax office to get the dock taken off the property tax. It is still too wet to check on the wall.
Ok, so you can start worrying.
What the blazes!!! We had a thief jump the locked fence and wouldn’t leave our yard. I kept telling him to get the heck off my property but he wasn’t going anywhere. Hubby heard me and came out and the guy still wouldn’t budge. Hubby showed him his cop badge and the moron was still not G O N E. Another neighbor came out and he finally moseyed along. Looked like he was doped up but had a trailer so was alert enough to know he’d need a trailer to load up other people’s stuff. Moron must have thought no one was home even though all our vehicles here. It’s prime pickings middle of the week and mostly out of town owners and all the flood mess.
Ya know, I said I needed to unpack the vehicles? Well, dang, you have one guess what all was still packed at the time but is NOT now.
Another neighbor came by as the idiot was leaving and she turned around to follow him. I called around to other neighbors to let them know.
THEN, we start to sit down and grab a glass of water after rushing to get everything in the house .... but no water. The pump on the water well burned up. Maybe got gunky muddy water in it. THANKFULLY, the neighborhood handyman knows what to do and he was here in two seconds flat. Now, crossing fingers, eyes and toes he and hubby can find a pump on the shelf around here.
