I was there with friends and my nearly 3-year-old son who LOVED the Astros. He managed to stay awake until the 21st inning!
We had a 7th inning stretch, a 14th inning stretch, and a 21st inning stretch!
Yes, when Vin was still announcing, he would occasionally talk about that game & now Hershiser is an announcer & mentions it. I remember that game & Hamilton pitching.

I just read this to hubby and he said, “but, they stop selling beer after the 7th inning!!” I said, I don’t think pax’s 3 yo was too worried about that. :-)
Lol...amazing...that game probably cost families a small fortune...food. Food was cheaper but still expensive....of course I’d be one to keep eating.
