This is what alcohol and group think in combination can lead to.

Plenty of alcohol, and plenty of group, but I doubt there was much think going on.
I’m guessing half of them felt the floor bouncing, so they jumped harder.

Yeah - in the military, we were taught to go into route step - going out of step - when going over smaller bridges and such because staying in step (dancing to the music) was known to set up vibrations that could bring a seeming solid structure down...
