The other word on the street from the Saudi thing is that this killing was planned to halt a massive sale of weapons from the US to KSA.
By stopping the sale, KSA is more vulnerable to Iranian coalition forces arrayed against them.
It is the talk of Parliament in the UK at the moment, their sale of weapons to KSA.

I think the reaction to the left’s calls for “in your face” resistance and violence was starting to affect election polls. So they have to plant violence and make it look like the right to try to recover from their own mistakes.
