A colleague of mine and I have introduced vitamin D at doses that have achieved greater than 100 nmol/L in most of our patients for the past number of years, and we now see very few patients in our clinics with the flu or influenzalike illness. In those patients who do have influenza, we have treated them with the vitamin D hammer, as coined by my colleague. This is a 1-time 50,000 IU dose of vitamin D3 or 10,000 IU 3 times daily for 2 to 3 days. The results are dramatic, with complete resolution of symptoms in 48 to 72 hours. One-time doses of vitamin D at this level have been used safely and have never been shown to be toxic. We urgently need a study of this intervention. The cost of vitamin D is about a penny for 1000 IU, so this treatment costs less than a dollar.

We take 4,000 units of D3 with K2 everyday plus during flu season we take an elderberry tincture that Mr. GG2 makes up every year. I have not had the flu in over 20 years.
Add to your vitamin regime today and potentially skip the impact of flu season entirely. Good luck!
I wouldn't call being sick with the flu for 2 to 3 days "skipping the impact" of the flu season. That sounds like the Beverly Hillbillies episode where Granny gives everyone her magic cure for the common cold, which she guarantees will cure the common cold in 7 to 10 days.
The way to potentially skip the impact of the flu season is to get a flu shot.
Good info. Thank you!

I do take the K2 with the D3.
But, I don’t take the D3 levels at such a high dosage as suggested in the one paper. Usually I am at taking D3 and K2 at 3,000 IU levels most days. They are more expensive than straight up D3.
Also, I do take the flu shot every year and do recommend taking it if you are allowed too.
It seems to help me, FWIW.
