Kimbrel's pre-pitch albatross-yoga pose cracks me up every time! Can't imagine what the batters are thinking at the plate. I find myself telling the batters, "don't look at it!"

LOL! That's kind of how the loud and crazy sports guys on Boston / New England sports radio WEEI described Kimbrel's antics. "What the hell IS that?? He looks like some weird bird about to take off!"

I don't know why he does that strange pose before *every* pitch. Maybe he's trying to get the batters to crack up laughing.

Did you see the Astros fans behind home plate mimicking Kimbrel's pose during Game 4? There was a big group of them doing it at one point. Hysterical! :-D

Very sorry I didn't notice the fans behind the plate! Hard for me to get past the batters' reactions. If you look at the batters' faces, Kimbrel's albatross-yoga pose really does screw with their concentration. Even some of the MLB veteran batters' eyes are big as saucers. Others look like WTF is that?

Kimbrel may look like a loon n the mound, but the look is very effective.
