My brother worked for TSA. He said some lady put her dog in its carrier on the belt and it went through the machine. He seemed to think that the dog was going to have health problems, but I don’t know how much one gets zapped going through one of those.
A child goes through an active Chinese airport x-ray machine. What could possibly go wrong? They probably use it to pop popcorn for lunch.
I assume, sounds nothing live is supposed to be in there, that the level might be pretty high.
When I was a lad, shoe stores had fluoroscopes that would show you your feet inside your shoes. It was cool. Only problem was the salesman would put his feet to show you (actually your mom) what a proper fit looked like. So while I got my feet x-rayed once every year or so, the salesman would get his feet x-rayed many times a day. Salesmen ended up getting cancer from it. Doubt if many customers did. I imagine the kid should be ok.
I saw a short black and white film a long time ago of a person walking around a room that was illuminated by x-rays. It looked like a skeleton walking around but you could see the outlines of the flesh.
The whole thing only lasted a few seconds but I wonder what happened to the subject.
Will this effect the child’s “Social Credit Index”?
Many years ago when I was working for a State Department of Health I got to know the radiation survey officer. He told horror stories about ancient X-ray machines. He found one in an old chiropractors office that had absolutely no shielding around the X-ray tube and was irradiating everyone in the office including people in the waiting room every time it was used.
