My great grandmother is listed in an Indian roll, but my heritage is so dilute that it does not show in a DNA test

I was reading that the DNA testing company fudged it because they didn't have enough Native American DNA samples.

They used South & Central American DNA samples instead.

You didn't match the South & Central American DNA samples...

That is possible.

The more samples the DNA testing company has from an ethnic group, the better the analysis. There are bazillions of English, Irish, Norwegian, German, and African samples (my tested heritage) but few Native American samples. Perhaps one day, there will be enough data to detect that part of my heritage. Until then, I am not going to go around claiming that I am a minority so I can get special benefits. After then, I still won't.
