Arkansas is weird. Believe it or not, she could be charged with felony KIDNAPPING, here. Yes Kidnapping. Arkansas' kidnapping law does NOT require asportation (taking someone to somewhere w/o their consent). Simply putting your arm on a door and pushing someone back (who is legally entitled to come/go) can hook you up with a felony in Arkansas.

She should have simply called the cops or property manager.

So if a protestor blocks your car in Arkansas, you can get them arrested for kidnapping...

I actually think that should be true everywhere. If someone blocks a street so my car is trapped, I’m getting out, and assuming there is an officer nearby the protestors (always is), I’m going to ask them to arrest the protestors. When they say now, I’m going to ask if I can legally park my car on the road and catch a ride home. When they say no, I’m going to say that I have been kidnapped by the protestors. And if they say I am free to go, then I’m going to say the protestors stole my car, since i can’t move it, and I’m not allowed to leave it.

Frankly, I’d like to get a few hundred people trapped in the cars, and get out, and surround the protestors, and tell them we are not letting them leave until the laws are changed to stop our cars from getting blocked. After all, we are outraged, and want our voices heard.
