I have never had a problem voting before or after work. I don't remember ever having to take time off from work to vote. And I've voted in just about every election for over 30 years.
13 hours in Pennsylvania, 7 am to 8 pm. The workers must be in by 6 am to get things set up. They might get to go home an hour or so later after all the absentee votes are counted and the results posted. The judge puts in about another hour driving the results to the court house and turning in the supplies.
I never had a problem voting,I’ll go to work, get off work and vote,On Nov. 6.
And don’t forget absentee voting as well.
Around here, the polls are only open for 130 hours. (Not a typo).
I have waited for hours to vote. It depends on time of day and local elections. I live in the country now but when I lived in the city it took longer. I agree though, PTO is not needed.
