I’ll always remember a sight I saw in 1967.
At the base dump in Chu Lai I saw a Marine and a Vietnamese
woman in a tug of war over a insulated poncho liner some
army guy had thrown out. Wish I’d had a camera.

God Bless your service - I spent 24 years in uniform and was never sent into harm's way and my respect for those who were is high.

I guess them Army-issue liners were hard to come by....BTW, did the Marine win the tug-o-war?
