Thank you for your imput. It has been very helpful and appreciated.

I am glad to hear that the service has gotten better and that most are happy with it. I tried to get the direct tv now all on Roku, but I need to purchase a newer model for it to show in the apps.

I want Fox news and direct tv now has all the channels my family watches. I just got my new cable bill the month for $184 (some hidden promotion ended). That’s for regular cable, phone and internet. I’m keeping the internet and cancelling both tv and phone. We can just use our cell phone and all I get on the regular phone is sales calls anyways.

Before ATT, I had comcast.. for years. They kept raising my rates even though I had a locked in rate. I’d call and they’d change it back.. this went on for a few years. The final straw was when they raised my bill $40, up to $180. I had the cable ATT had laid and called them. They didn’t do anything right, but I’m still with them until the 2 yrs is up. They have hundreds of channels but there is nothing on. I watch 2 channels.. would watch a couple more but even though they were supposed to be in my list, they are not.

I am tired of the companies raising the prices.. they are way over priced anyway. And with that many channels, Looking for what is on for any given night, is tedious.

My first cable bill was with comcast and it was $30 a month. Not any more.

We have the Roku 3 and the Fire TV on our 4k TV and an older roku 2 and the $40 Fire stick on our smaller 720p set. We can get DTVN using either Roku but only when we use the Fire stick can we get all the features on DTVN. The DTVN’s DVR doesn’t appear on either Roku but does when we use the Fire. The video on both TV’s also seems sharper on the Fire. If you need to upgrade, I would keep the Roku you have so you can get the Roku TV channel and get a newer Fire stick ($40 or $50 for the 4K model)to use with HDTVN. It gives you additional stuff and flexibility.
