I think they are demoralized across-the-board.

They all put everything they had to try to stop Kavanaugh and set some new "standards" and they lost ... bigly.

Now you can sense that even as they go out and try to cheer-lead, their hearts aren't in it like when they thought they were on a roll....when the base is demoralized, and the Pep Squad has lost its pep, the opponents have a chance of a lifetime...it's up[ to us to leverage that opportunity...

The Dem leadership rolled the dice on the K nomination, as they didnt expect to take the Senate because the numbers were just not there.

If they succeeded, they may just depress GOP turnout enough to run the table.

But the thing is that they HAD to succeed. So after pouring everything into it, including that disgraceful display by their activists and Senators, they’ve likely punted on the Senate, and are now looking at a backlash big enough in the House that they will have to wash their hands of both chambers. The air has been let out of their balloon.

Using a military history analogy, I liken it to “Little Round Top” during the battle of Gettysburg. That’s how close it was for either side. Coincidentally it was people from Maine that saved our rears in both cases.
