I know this is an old posting but I am new on here and I was doing searches on hearing loss, etc because I lost my hearing last year in one ear from an acoustic neuroma benign tumor that left me single sided deaf. I have 100% hearing loss in one ear and normal hearing in my other ear. By the way - if you are single sided deaf I can recommend the
2E1: "Two Ears in One" headphones that are hand made that have both the left and right speakers in one ear so you can hear in stereo with one ear. I own a 2E1 pair myself and are a lifesaver for me.
