AS a young hippie I always found the bands coming out of LA a little creepy, ESPECIALLY the Doors. I also didn’t know The Byrds and CSN were out of LA. I thought they were from Marin County, I suppose because the Byrds had a song called Mt. Tamaulipas High, which mountain exists in Marin. I’m pretty sure Marin was a Clown farm as well though so there may have been transectionality.
