I’ve heard Rundgren samples now and again quite a bit, but the only thing I really liked was “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” with Utopia. If you know of any other of his material that falls into the must-listen category, fill me in!
The Tubes “Remote Control” (Rundgren produced) and “Young and Rich” are my two favorite albums.
Most don’t even know they exist.
Young and Rich has some remarkable gems like “Brighter Day” and “Young and Rich”. Their more experimental second album.
Remote Control is INCREDIBLE front to back.
My personal favorite is, “Can We Still Be Friends.” Kind of a quirky rhythm but also extremely catchy.
And Badfinger’s “Straight Up” album is a true classic. Used copies used to go for $40 back in the late 70’s/early 80’s before they finally got reissued on CD after Apple got their act together.
