The first one was in 1937. I saw the 1976 version, and wouldnt pay to see it again.
The Barbara Streisand as I recall was a bore...Haven’t seen the Judy Garland... If you ignore Lady Gaga’s politics, which I’m not sure I even know her politics, she has an incredible voice. Her duets with Tony Bennett are great.
Well, a nova or supernova would be the DEATH of a star, not the birth.
I haven’t heard that he or Lady Gaga are anything. SOunds like the may be smart actors, and keep their politics to themselves... but wait.. Wasn’t Bradley Cooper the guy in that movie about the Sniper?
Who?
President Trump - he has been calling the dems crazy at the last few rallies. When he brands someone, it sticks.
She knows a little too much about spirit cooking IMO.
Yeah. I’ve seen it. I’ve never thought Kristoferson was all that good of an actor. Still, not a bad story. And I like him in other movies.
I think this one, is ten times better, from what I heard.
As I get older it’s all about the story. I’ll have to check it out when it’s free.
BTW, I was under the weather yesterday and watched Hot Fuzz. I expected it to be ridiculously stupid but found it quite enjoyable. I had no idea it was from the same group that did Shawn of the dead, etc.
I see them as well as movies like School of Rock as a new movie genre I like to call “MGTOW”.
I prefer the 1937 version myself. It’s on YouTube if anyone wants to see it, in Technicolor.
negative...I don’t like either of the lead actors. So no.
Cooper played the role of Chris Kyle in American Sniper.
GaGa gags me.
(Well, truth be known, 99.9% of Hollyweird gags me, but she gags me most, currently.)
Theres some evidence that Gaga is a canibal/satanist, so no, I have no plans to view her works.

Didn’t like it. Overdone and unlikeable characters. Gaga is nicey-nice. Cooper is despicable. Not much chemistry between them, IMO. Unceasing F-bombs - like 3 and 4 in one sentence. Most I’ve heard in any movie.
Just dark and depressing.
Music is okay, if you like that style.
From the trailer, it appears that Bradley Cooper does a credible job with the music. But it is painful to listen to Lady Gaga sing.
There is one point in the trailer where she starts singing with a long slide up to note that is about a half-step flat. I saw the trailer in the theater once, and the next time I took care to make sure I had my fingers stuffed in my ears at that point.
If really bad music doesn’t bother you, it looks like it could be an interesting movie.
Makes you wonder how it got in the 90s for RT.
