All research is paid for by someone so disqualifying it on funding rather than merit is a logical fallacy as well as an ethical smear on the researchers. Are some researchers for sale, and can methodology and data be manipulated to produce the desired outcome? Sure, but that's why we have a peer review process.

Having an education in the life sciences will help as will lots of training outside the classroom. But research is so specialized today that it becomes more and more challenging to separate the legitimate from those looking for a desired outcome. This one isn't that tough, however. With what we know to be true at this time, soy isn't responsible for the many maladies the alarmists accuse it of.

It’s just that I saw it first-hand with my relative, manboobs and all. Every symptom claimed in the article and the video at the link, he had. And he died too young, after living in misery on a heavily soy vegan diet. So there’s that. And having seen it and mourned it, you’re not going to convince me otherwise, so stop trying.
