NJT got rid of railroad service to the Arlington section of Kearny back in 2002. I used to visit the area for Irish bacon, sausages and other groceries since it was closer than Woodside in Queens or Woodlawn Heights on the Bronx/Yonkers border.

Wow. So you know the area. Yeah. I remember the days of the old Eire Lackawana Railroad. Me and my friends used to walk out east towards NYC along those rail road tracks. Lot of marsh land out there then as now. Playing along rr tracks. Jeez. We could have been killed. Crazy kids.
