Actually, it's probably more due to those Catholics having most likely gone to private schools and getting the better education then the protestants.

Pure speculation on my part for the discussion.

I had the same thought as you about more of the Catholics being educated in private schools.

The Jesuits have a lot of schools and colleges and although they are lefties themselves the education is likely better than in the public schools.
