On the Kavanaugh/Trump swearing in thread, it was posted Ashley Kavanaugh was W’s secretary when he was TX Gov and then personal secretary when he was POTUS. An interesting connecting dot.
I can’t sleep. Still too affected from stupid neighbor. Frightening there are people out there who intentionally strive to be stupidly uninformed.
Also, awaiting the flood waters. We should be high enough (knock on wood) and they finally opened a gate at the dam downstream which lowered our river half a foot before dark but can see enough to know it has risen over a foot from that. We called weekend neighbors yesterday and some got their boats out but left their chairs and stuff out. Next door neighbors, who are full time residents, can’t be bothered.
In Junction, TX, an RV park was flooded. Three or four people are still missing. One woman held onto debris for 20 miles and eventually was able to get herself out with only scrapes and bruises. That’s a very lucky lady.
Ack, more worries with the furbabies.
