To summarize what others and I have said, any car newer than 2001 will be okay. Small engines will not be okay. Independent refiners seem to benefit by this, not sure how even after reading the article about it all. They say more smog in Summer and cheaper prices, I’ll believe that when we see it. Also less MPG because ethanol produces less BTUs when burned than straight gasoline.
No doubt crappy corn fed beef will probably increase in price. I don’t buy it so I don’t care.
So if your car is 2001, you’re not okay?
Coleman fuel works in small engines, a lot more expensive that pump gas though.
If youve got to run it, try to run it out, or if it has a fuel cut off, turn that off so it will consume the rest in the float bowl/carb reservoir. The primary short term problem is the hydrophilic nature of the alcohol, it attracts water and when it gets enough that some will settle out it usually goes right to the pickup/low spot.
Okay guys, trust Trump. He is doing this to keep farmers from going broke while he negotiates with China.
Short term pain for long term gain. Farmers are already in trouble but for the Greatness of America this is something we all have to suffer as Trump works his magic.
