RBG no doubt has arthritis, the really bad kind that deforms ones fingers. My aunt has it, her fingers sem to jig-jag at every joint. It hurts and she’s very aware of it, and does wear gloves to hide it.
RBG’s head/neck problems are related to osteoporosis. She has a hump from compression fractures in her spine, and she must not have been aware of what it would do to holding her head up. It makes it difficult to straighten one’s back up enough to hold one’s head high.
This clarification brought to you by someone who knows (and hopes the grim reaper reaches me before the family diseases do!)
There’s a virtual arm around your shoulders giving you a quick hug.
Sympathies... not about family diseases for my part, but hope my degenerating cervical spine doesn't get me down before check out time. This past week has been about the hardest so far in about 25 years.
On RBG, what you describe sounds like a scoliosis, doesn't it? (She says she will hang on until the 2020 elections; I didn't realize we could make that kind of a deal with the grim reaper.) (? 😉)
or she just has a goiter, in which case, Uncle Buck applies here.
Osteoporosis! Thats the word I was looking for. Osteoporosis presumes Rheumatoid Arthritis, Im thinking.
RBG is in terrible shape and much pain, Im sure. Her pain meds may play a role, as well, in her cranky, tasteless public reveals of her political extremism. Her biases would force anyone else to retire as unfit for duty and abuse of decorum. She cant seem to help it, now, noting that she used to control her bias when appearing in public settings and maintaining the dignity required of the SC justices.
